"Association of Greek Users and Friends of FS/OSS" s a Non Goverment Organization / Non Profit Society which purpose is to promote GNU/Linux and FS/OSS (Free Software / Open Source Software). Our target is to spread the word about the freedom of software and the choice that anybody can and should have using Computers.
Our Society constantly organizes actions, lessons and presentations which you can attend and participate! Also, at our headquarters there is the Thessaloniki GNU/Linux Laboratory, which you can visit and learn more about FS/OSS.

this is the continuation of the first course held on Saturday, June 26th, 2010. The courses can be attended only by members of the Association and the GNU/ Linux Lab shall not accept visits from non-members (see how to be a member), during lesson hours, in order to ensure non-interruption of the lectures.

Dear gentlemen,
The Association of Greek Users and Friends of Free Software / Open Source Software (http://www.greeklug.gr) is a non profit, non-governmental organization, which is fighting daily for the adoption of open standards and free software in all sectors (government, education, private sector).
We would like to let you know but also to condemn the fact that the Public Power Corporation S.A., which is controlled entirely by the Greek State, proceeded to an open contest with sealed tenders, and using as a criterion the offer which will be financially the most advantageous (!), and is entitled
"CREATION OF RDBMS of ETDD AND SUPPLY & INSTALLATION OF COMPUTER AND NETWORK with technical SUPPORT FOR TWO YEARS.
